Pen Pals in Almeria

Our Year 8 students were thrilled to receive their first letters from their Pen Pals in Almería, Spain! This marks the beginning of a wonderful cultural exchange that connects our students with peers from a different part of the world. The letters were filled with fascinating insights into life in Spain, providing a unique opportunity for our students to learn more about Spanish culture, traditions, and everyday life.
Our students are now eagerly writing their replies—of course, in Spanish! This hands-on approach to language learning is not only helping them improve their Spanish skills but also allowing them to engage with the language in a meaningful way. From practicing new vocabulary to using proper grammar, our students are getting a real taste of the language they are studying, all while building connections with young people their age.
The Pen Pal project is a fantastic way to encourage global communication, foster cultural understanding, and develop language proficiency. We can’t wait to see how these letters continue to build bridges between our students and their new friends in Spain!
Stay tuned for more updates as our Year 8 students continue to write, learn, and connect with their Pen Pals!
