The start of the new school year 26/27 is fast approaching, and we are preparing to welcome your child to Co-op Academy Bebington.
Transitioning to secondary school is a significant milestone. To help you prepare for this exciting new chapter, we are pleased to invite you and your parents or carers to our official induction event.
Welcome to Bebington Evening
● Date: Tuesday, 23rd June 2026
● Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
This evening is a vital part of your transition. It is designed to provide both you and your family with the information and tools needed for a successful start.
What to Expect on the Night
To ensure everyone gets the most out of the evening, the event will be split into different sessions:
● For Students: You will have the opportunity to meet your new Form Tutor and spend time with the classmates who will be in your tutor group. This is a great chance to start building friendships before September.
● For Parents & Carers: There will be a formal Information Presentation hosted by our Senior Leadership Team. This will cover our academy’s expectations, the curriculum, and how we support our students' wellbeing.
● Uniform Fitting: During the evening, all new Year 7 students will be professionally measured for their Academy blazer, jumper, and PE top.
Important Note on Uniform: As part of our commitment to our families, these three core items—the blazer, jumper, and PE top—will be provided free of charge for all incoming Year 7 students.
Please mark the 23rd June in your calendar. We believe that by working together — students, parents, and staff—we can ensure that your time at Co-op Academy Bebington is filled with achievement and opportunity.
In the meantime we know that moving from primary to secondary school feels like a giant leap. To help you over the coming months, we will be:
● Visiting you: Our team will be chatting with your primary teachers to learn all about your strengths and how we can support you.
● Transition Days: You’ll get the chance to spend time on-site, meet your new form tutors, and—most importantly—start making new friends.
● Welcome Packs: We’ll be sending more details soon about uniforms, equipment, and all the exciting clubs you can join.
A little message for the nerves...
It is perfectly normal to feel a mix of butterflies and excitement. If you’re worried about getting lost or the homework being harder—don’t be. You’ll find that our older students are incredibly helpful, and our teachers are here to make sure you settle in quickly. By the end of your first week, you’ll feel like you’ve been here for years. We are so proud to have you as part of our next generation of students. Have a fantastic rest of your time in Year 6 and get ready for the best chapter yet. We look forward to meeting you soon and officially welcoming you into the Co-op family.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Jane Whisker
Headteacher
