BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Performance (Acting) - Pearson

Entry Requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English.

Is this course for me?

This qualification offers an engaging programme to support learners who want to pursue a career in acting. This size of qualification allows learners to study related and complementary qualifications alongside it, without duplication of content. It can prepare learners for a range of Apprenticeships in performance-related areas. When taken alongside further Level 3 qualifications, it supports access to a range of higher education courses in the performing arts sector.

Where does it lead?

Many of our students have gone onto study Performing Arts at university/Performing Arts Facilities.
There are many jobs within the Performing Arts such as director, stage manager, costume & stage make-up, plus many more!

How will I be assessed?

You will complete five units, of which two are mandatory and one is external across the 2-year course. There is no written exam. The course explores both practical and theoretical elements. You will be assessed on practical exploration, working with scripts, devising original material. In addition, how you apply knowledge through your theory work such as, evaluations, video blogs, and self-assessment forms.
