BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Animal Management

Entry Requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Science

Is this course for me?

Our Animal Management course gives you the opportunities to showcase your animal care skills on our fully‐functioning farm with livestock animals, small furries, reptiles and invertebrates. The course delivers knowledge and skills that are needed to meet industry requirements.

You will learn, in depth, Animal Biology, Animal Welfare and Ethics, Animal Husbandry and Animal Behaviour.  

Where does it lead?

The course provides transferable and high‐order skills to progress to Higher Education or Employment within the Animal Care Sector.  

How will I be assessed?

The course comprises of 10 units; 2 externally assessed examinations and 8 coursework assessed units. You will sit one external examination unit in both year 12 and 13.

Coursework will be completed throughout the course.
