Animal Care

Level 2 Certificate in Animal Care

Entry Requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths at grade 4 and Science at Grade 66.

Is this course for me?

Our Animal Care course gives you opportunities to gain practical experience in looking after a range of animals on our fully-functioning farm, including small furries, a Shetland pony, chickens, reptiles and invertebrates. The course delivers knowledge and skills on animal behaviour, animal handling and many aspects of animal health care.

Where does it lead?

The Animal Care course is well suited to those students that are seeking a future career in pet sectors, agriculture and farming. You can also move onto our Level 3 Animal Management qualification which can lead you into careers within many areas of animal care including the agricultural industry and veterinary work.

How will I be assessed?

The course comprises a mixture of units assessed internally through coursework.
